会议简介和宗旨:
近年来,学习控制成为了智能自动化中相对较新的研究领地,由于其控制算法简单,控制效果明显等特点,该方法自问世以来受到国内外学者的追捧和青睐。特别是我国的学者在该方面的研究迅速崛起,已经形成了学习控制群体。
为促进学习控制研究的交流、分享最新成果、加强学术合作,浙江工业大学孙明轩教授与何熊熊教授发起并精心策划和组织了“2006 年迭代学习控制专题学术会议”,在杭州成功举办。随后,西安交通大学的阮小娥教授在西安临潼精心组织了“2012 年学习控制国际研讨会”,对促进学习控制领域的基础理论与应用起到了抛砖引玉的作用。
为及时了解学习控制的最新研究进展和动态、洞察国际学习控制研究的前沿方向和热点、引进学习控制研究的新起之秀、密切从事学习控制研究的学者和专家之间的联系,拟在2014 年4月25-27 日在中国青岛举办“2014 年学习控制国际研讨会”,旨在为从事学习控制相关研究的学者提供交流平台、扩大学术影响、拓展研究领域。

Biography
Fu-Rong Gaoreceived his B.Eng. degree in Automation from the East China Institute of Petroleum, in 1985. In the same year, he won a scholarship from the China Ministry of Education to do his postgraduate study in Canada. He received his M.Eng. and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from McGill University, in 1989 and 1993, respectively. From 1993 to 1995, he worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Moldflow International Ltd, Melbourne, Australia, in charge of a project on intelligent control of polymer processing. Professor Gao joined the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), in 1995, as a faculty in the Department of Chemical Engineering. Currently, he is a Chair Professor in Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Director of Center for Polymer Processing and Systems, HKUST.Professor Gao's research interests are in process monitoring and control, and polymer processing. He has published more than 300 journal and conference papers in the above areas and he has received numerous awards, including, twice the Best Paper Award from the Society of Plastic Engineers, 1st class prize in natural science from the Chinese Ministry of Education. He is on editorial boards for a number of international journals of his research areas.

On the Contraction Approach to Iterative Learning Control

Biography
Ming-XuanSunreceived the B.Eng. degree from the Xi'an University of Technology, China, in 1982, the M. Eng. degree from the Beijing Institute of Technology, China, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2002. From 1982 to 1984, he was with the Hefei General Machinery Research Institute, China. He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, Xi'an Institute of Technology, China, in 1987. He held research positions at the Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore from 2001 to 2004. Since 2004, he has been with the Zhejiang University of Technology, China, and is currently a Professor of the College of Information Engineering. His current research interests include iterative learning control and repetitive control as well as their applications.

Biography
Chiang-Ju Chienreceived the Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1992. Since 1993, he was with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Huafan University, Taipei, Taiwan, where he is currently a professor. He served as the Chair of the same Department from 2000 to 2005 and the Secretary General from 2005 to 2011. He has been the Dean of College of Engineering and Management in Huafan University since 2012. During the past decade, he has published more than 65 peer reviewed international journal and conference papers in control theory and its applications. Moreover, he was invited as a reviewer for many outstanding international journals such as Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, and so on. He is also now appointed as a final review commissioner of research projects for Taiwan National Science Council. His current research interests are mainly in iterative learning control, adaptive control, fuzzy-neuro systems and control circuit design using FPGA chip.

Biography
Zhongsheng Houreceived the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Jilin University of Technology, Changchun, China, in 1983 and 1988, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 1994. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, from 1995 to 1997 and a Visiting Scholar with Yale University, New Haven, CT, from 2002 to 2003. In 1997, he joined the Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing, China, and is currently a Full Professor and Founding Director of the Advanced Control Systems Lab and the Head of Department of Automatic Control in School of Electronic and Information Engineering. His research interests are in the fields of data-driven control, model free adaptive control, learning control, and intelligent transportation systems. Up to now, he has over 80 peer-reviewed journal papers published and 100 papers in prestigious conference proceedings. He is the author of two monographs Nonparametric Model and its Adaptive Control Theory (Science Press of China, 1999, in Chinese) and the coming Model Free Adaptive Control Theory and Applications (In Press, 2012). Dr. Hou has served as a committee member for over 40 international conferences and Chinese conferences, and as an Associate Editor and Guest Editor for a few international journals.
